Barracuda Swim Team
WELCOME TO THE 2026-27 SEASON OF BARRACUDA SWIM TEAM!
If your swimmer is on the Great Barracuda or Blackfin team, their practices will begin on Monday, September 8th. Practices will be held:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 5:30 – 7:00 pm
- Wednesday & Friday from 5:00 – 6:15 pm (Wed & Fri practices will END when the high school swim team begins practicing at the Y.)
If your swimmer is on the Yellowtail or Sharpfin Barracuda teams, their practices will begin on Monday, September 28th. Practices will be held:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday from 5:30 – 6:45; Friday from 5:00 pm – 6:15 pm (Yellowtail only).
- SHARPFIN will end practice at 6:30 pm.
NEW THIS YEAR!! MINNOWS! Minnows bridge the gap between swim lessons and competitive racing. It focuses on skill refinement, team dynamics, and building physical endurance. Minnows will practice:
- October 1st – November 13th | Tuesday & Thursday | 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
- November 16th – December 22nd | 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
- January 11th – March 11th (approx) | 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm

- $120 due at registration
- $120 due by automatic draft on October 1st (season total = $240)

Minnows 2026-27
*NEW*
The Minnows swim group bridges the gap between swim lessons and competitive racing. It focuses on skill refinement, team dynamics, and building physical endurance.
This swim group will:
- Refine the Freestyle & Backstroke
- Introduce Breaststroke & Butterfly
- Learn competitive racing starts & turns
- Work on stamina and endurance
- Have fun!
Prerequisites:
- Have completed or currently in level 4/5 swim lessons or be able to pass a coach-led swim test
- Participants 8 & under must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle and/or 25 yards backstroke
- Participants 9 & over must swim 50 yards freestyle and/or 50 yards backstroke
Behavior/Expectations:
- Participants must be able to follow instructions in a group setting
- Be respectful to coaches and teammates.
Fees: $360
- $100 due at registration
- 4 monthly drafts of $65 each beginning November 1st.
